What is SocialArchitect? is a Mutual Benefit Social Media Network connecting like-minded individuals, businesses and causes with common interests. We provide Profiles, Social Media Dashboard, Broadcasting, Event Management, Fundraising and Advertising tools to support Member initiatives, structurally and financially.

Why join SocialArchitect?

Besides having some fun, you can benefit from your participation, run events, raise money and make connections with people that have shared interests.

How much does it cost?

Use of the site tools is free for members.

What are the Points about?

Points are participation rewards. You can spend them in the Shop for gifts, items for your fundraisers, group prizes, ads and some events on the site. You earn points for activities like posting in groups, uploading photos, creating events, inviting people, and other listed actions. Check your points balance in Points > Points Balance. Check the Terms of Use for details.

We all need a little help sometimes, so here is a quick rundown of the links and features in your Profile.

The COVER IMAGE size is 1140px × 428px

To change your image, click the Settings icon and click EDIT COVER IMAGE.

We all need a little help sometimes, so here is a quick rundown of the links and features in your Profile.

Home shows your most recent activities, new videos and photos and Groups / Events in tabs.


The Profile page is where your personal profile and applications are displayed. You can edit your information and add and remove apps in the edit section under the Profile dropdown in the menu.


The Groups list shows which groups you are a Member of. You will only be able to see the Groups list if you have added the Groups application. Go to Application ---> Edit, and add the Groups application.


Shows images you have uploaded to your Profile. You will only see images if you have added the Photos application. Go to Application ---> Edit, and add the Photos application.


In Wall, you and your friends are able to leave a comment on your Profile Page. You will only see the comments if you have added the Walls application. Go to Application ---> Edit, and add the Walls application.

SocialArchitect's Wall supports Seyret. You can post Youtube videos by entering the full URL to the video (not shortened).


Where all the fun is happening. You can search current events or add your own.

Apps on Your Profile

There are number of different applications can choose to activate and display on your Profile page.

To see the list of applications, go to Profile - Customize My Page and click the Add Applications button in the area you want to add it to.

Select an application to add it and enter any required settings.

To edit it, go to Profile - Customize My Page. From here, you will be able to:

  1. Find out what these applications do
  2. Set each application based on your preferences
  3. Decide how the applications are arranged on your page by dragging and dropping it by hitting Ctrl + dragging up or down.
  4. Adjust the privacy setting of each application.
  5. Remove an application you do not want or use.

Click the Edit icon on any application to made changes.


There are 2 ways to send a message. First, via your own inbox or by clicking Send Message on a user's profile.


You can join and participate in groups easily. Click the "Join Now" link to join a group. If admin approval is needed, a message will be sent to them.

To manage Groups that you've joined, go to Application --> Group.

Here, you can view the current groups, search a group as well as view groups that you have joined. You can also create a new group.


Announcements list all the bulletins you wish to share with the group. This is a great way to get a broad message out to others who share your common interests. Just know that Announcements does not support replies. Be sure to tell people how to reach you. Only the Group admins can create Announcements.


Discussion lists all topics anyone posts in the group area to discuss with others. Discussions support replies from group members.


Wall supports Wall posts from members of a group. Wall also supports Syret (hence Youtube videos). Only Group administrators can remove Wall posts.

Photos & Media

To manage your photos, go to Application --> Media.

This is where you can upload new photos, browse them and create photo albums. You can set your Privacy for the images here as well.


Groups are eligible for Sponsor zones and Member incentives. Please contact Members Services for more information.


Group based fundraisers can be displayed in the Group area by editing the page and approving the Campaign.

Advertising FAQS offers a wide range of social media tools to our Members with the goal of connecting like minded individuals, companies and causes. Our Members are able to earn from their content by placing ads in their groups and on their profiles.

In addition to traditional banner ads, we offer group promotion and sponsorship opportunities in the form of raffles and contests in highly sought after demographics.

Ad Creation FAQS

How to Create an Ad

Click on any "Create An Ad" link to launch the Ad Wizard.

The zone you click the link from is the zone your ad will rotate in. This can not be changed.

The options are:

Ad type: Text, Text and Media or just Image/Media. Supported media formats are: png, jpg, gif, swf, flv, and mp4. Autoplay is not permitted for multimedia ads.

Selecting an ad type will load the available zones for that ad. If a zone does not display for the ad type you selected it means it is not available for that ad type.

Ad sizes vary by zone and type. Image / Media ad sizes are 336 x 280 and 300 x 600 pixels. Combination Text & Image ads have space for a 100 x 100 image, 30 character title and 100 character description. Text Ad titles are 30 characters and the body is 150 characters.

You can edit all options for your ad BEFORE you save it and you can edit the IMAGE/CONTENT of your ad after you save it, but you can NOT change zones or types after saving.

URL: The URL or Social Architect content you are linking to.

NON MEMBER CONTENT or offsite links - enter the full URL in the text area ( Choose this if you have MEMBER CONTENT that you want to promote with standard ads (not the profile icon - see below)

MEMBER CONTENT - Click "I want to advertise something I have on". Your available content and zone options will load. This option uses the profile image from the content you are promoting. If you have an image ad or would like a different layout choose the Non Member Content option and use the direct URL to your Member Content page.

Zones - The position on the page where your ad will show.

Social / demographic targeting - select the options that apply.

Geolocation preferences - select the options that apply.

Zones and Targeting

The more options you choose the LESS YOUR AD WILL DISPLAY. Leaving the demographic and/or geolocation options empty will show your ad to the widest range of viewers.

SocialArchitect ads display using the following formula - zones (location on the page) filtered by demographics and geolocation preferences selected.

Demographic limiting will show ads ONLY to the profiles that match, so use these accordingly. This is a FILTER.

Geographic targeting is also a FILTER and will limit your ads to the areas you select. This is ideal for a local establishment serving a local clientele. Example: selecting a CITY would limit ads to those who have that matching CITY in their profile.

Zones marked Member Profile appear in Member areas, including Groups. Zones marked Group appear only in Group areas.

Privacy and Cookies

Ads are shown on various pages on the site. These ads are targeted based on the content of the page or group, and the interests of the user. No tracking outside the site is done - at all and the ad server is not connected with outside systems. In other words, activities on do not follow users outside the site in any way.

Zone Locations

  • 336 x 280 Clubs Static - top right in specific clubs.
  • 336 x 280 Members Static - Logged In Members profiles, groups and main page top right
  • 336 x 280 Public Static - Public pages, FAQs, News, Blogs and other Non-Member pages.
  • 300 x 600 Floating - Public pages right side, NOT members area
  • 300 x 600 Floating - Logged In Members Profiles, groups and main Members page

I can't see the Ads I just created.

The Ad is not always shown to its creator. If you have targeting enabled or if it's a different rotation, your ad may not show when you are online because you may not fit the criteria to see it. If you want to see your Ads you need to log in as a user satisfying the targeting of the Ad.

How Does Geo Location Targeting work?

The users location is fetched based on their current IP. Ads targeted to that location are shown to him/her matched against the Maxmind LITE database.

How does Social Targeting work?

The logged in users profile data is matched with the Ads database.

What is the view count interval?

60 seconds.

Can I sponsor groups, grants or giveaway pages?

Yes, those areas are marked specifically in their Titles. Click the Sponsor link in the area on any page you'd like your ad on.
